I was at a Walgreens checkout and had Ryan's Forrest Gump as my ring tone when it went off. The Gmilf behind the register started laughing and when I told it was Ryan Reynolds, she got excited. I told her this movie is R rated and kinda vulgar. She was like, "That's okay. I like those movies." OK Boomer! 👍

Back in the early 80s,in my late teens, I worked food service because it was the only job that would lay me off. The economy was so bad that one of the cooks had a masters degree in chemical engineering and couldn’t find a job in his field. And since I didn’t want to put up kissing the asses of our affluent arrogant customers, I either busted tables and/or washed dishes.
I hated every single minute of it. From the incompetent managers, bitchy waitresses, mentally handicapped co workers, I dealt with it all.
Seeing this movie, I felt like a Viet Nam veteran watching Platoon. It bought back not only bad memories but worse emotions. There were some inaccuracies but overall, the producers got it right.
