Amazing that you can get such good tone out of less expensive speakers. I have a question. I play guitar and need help on how to set up monitors and a sub. I have a Trio+. It creates a whole band behind you after you (feed it) play a few chords. The unit has two outputs. One is guitar only. If I only use one output I get a full signal output including Guitar, Drums and Base. I really like the way the cymbals sound with the studio monitors (tweeters!) The other output is called MIXER and if both outputs are being used, the Mixer out will only output base and drums only (not guitar- that goes out through the other output.) Currently I am using a Y cable, I currently split the ONE full signal output. The studio monitors sound great. The base is good BUT, I have a nice $800 subwoofer that I want to invite to the party. How can I do this? If I use a mixer, the sub will get cymbals and drums- not good. The monitors will only get guitar frequencies. I could stick to the one full range signal and either use another Y (so 2 Y's) or a mixer connected to the one full range output. Thanks for your suggestions. I am not an expert and not sure if I am doing it the right way. Ideally it would be great if the unit could output ONLY a low, base signal, but it doesn't. It includes cymbals on that output. Just trying to make things work. Also, not sure how strong the signal will be if I split it 3 ways (single output feeding two monitors and split again to get that full range signal to my sub. Sub has a cross-o er in it. It's a REL 1205.)
