Anyone who tries to define depression by saying "depression is..." doesnt get it. That was your depression. Your experience. Everyone has a different expereince.

While some of what he says can be true, he definitely didn't understand it at all. So stronglt advice to not take these words as a guideline and especially don't diagnose yourself with it due to it. Clinical terms like depression, anxiety, autism float around kids mouths these days, to much. Go outside live your life and you won't have any of it, instead of listening to a lunatic like Jim Carrey. And I love this guy but I am also pretty sure, he'd describe himself as that during that period of time.
