The bug happened 1 hour and 30 mins after the first showing of the event started. Players are said to be transported to a basic spawn location. We do not know if the devs just shut down the server or a while or a hacker barged in and ruined the servers.

Luckily 10 mins later the incident subsided and the servers were back to normal. its just frustrating to others who were about to get inside the vip room (or the afterparty lounge) only to find themselves in this basic location.
