I'm old enough to remember going to Waddington for an airshow when the Vulcan was still in service,they did a simulated 4 ship scramble straight onto the runway climbed out then returned to do a low flyby and climb out, will live in my memory forever π

Engine testing , remember them well. OC Engineering did not get on with the Chaplin at Scampton when I was there. The engineers would always select a Sunday to test and run up full bore at around the time of the sermon...
