I was in the Air Force as an Enlisted Loadmaster on C-5โs then over to C-17โs. It was C-17 training that a pilot gave me my call sign. I still use it even after being retired.

I got the nickname of Snuffy (from the Snuffy Smith cartoon) during a game of spades... it stuck...lol I had only played a couple of times, I was new to the game. I had the ace, king, and queen of spades and didn't know I should just throw them down. I put down the king and my partner freaked out thinking that someone else had the ace. When I threw down the other cards, he lost it and popped out with the nickname. lol.
