The only problem with something like this would be the current implementation of 2FA.
Most ppl use their phone as the 'something you have' alomg with their password 'something you know'.
Basically, stealing a phone gets you access to everything associated with that user assuming biometrics are not used or the phone has benn unlocked recently.
Its not terrible, and I assume this phone makers/app developers can roll out with better enforcement of biometrics in the future.
