One of the biggest misconceptions about homeschool families is that we force our Christian beliefs on our children and don’t give them the right to choose for themselves which path they will take. This is such a wrong belief! Let’s chat about it..
As parents, we have been entrusted by God with the responsibility to raise children who are fearful (respect and honor) of the Lord. It is our responsibility to teach them the Word, encourage relationship with the Lord, and show them by example how to live fervently for God.
I’m a true and firm believer that this teaching is critical from the day that they are born until the day that they leave the nest. When they are old enough, they are free to make their own decision on what path they want to take. Salvation is an individual reward for individual obedience in this life but the forming of a biblical foundation in life is my responsibility as the parent.
“Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it.” Proverbs 22:6 NLT
“But if you refuse to serve the Lord, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord.”” Joshua 24:15 NLT

I support what youre doing, I will say though, the kids may grow to hate the homeschooling aspect if they start to think its just something for your own bragging rights. Just something I went through under similar circumstances.
Also Adventures in Odyssey, that stuff is good for christian kids.
