Preach! I remember being the outcast of my friend group because I defended Nesta because if I had gone through what she did, I probably would’ve been Nesta

As an ACOTAR fan, they're kind of both right in different ways. Having said that, I'm low-key a Nesta apologist, she doesn't deserve as much hate as she gets. A little, but not as much as she gets.

I simply ADORED Nesta's book!!
I had low expectations going in since previously she was portrayed just as an evil sister. But now it is my favorite book in ACOTAR, very strong plot and so much character development.

Goody-goody Feyre got old for me by that point. And weak Elain was always so boring, I have no hopes for her book to be any good. But at the same time hope to be proven wrong about that.

I hated nesta so much at first but, jeez, that book pov was so so needed. And she was so relatable. Waiting on her parent to step up and actually do something cause she was so angry. I just wish there wasnt so much smut, cause im here for it,but i wish there was more conversations

Okay, but one thing we can all agree about is that we wanted AZRIEL and GWYN next, not Elain and Lucien.

Nests is a flawed character and that’s why I love her. She is frequently the only character that will call it like it is and call out the other characters.
Also that line at the end about Feyra and Elaine being excepted because they handle their trauma prettily and in an acceptable manner, while Nesta exhibits a much harsher reaction and defense mechanisms is so spot on.

Acotar really aren't my type of books

BUT, I'm feeling for Nesta after that "people hate one her because she doesn't suffer in an acceptable feminine way"

Justice for Nesta

Having trauma does not give you the right to be an ass towards everyone around you. That is a choice she made over and over again. And her trauma was nothing compared to Feyre who still managed to be a decent person. Nesta was incredible selfish and spoiled. She was never kind to Feyre growing up and only showed her any kind of interest when Feyre had made money from selling animal fur. It was a really hard read.

I somewhat agree that Feyre is the standard issue Mary Sue, but I loved Night Court and I’m always down for some found family, so that part was nice.
On the other hand, I couldn’t make it through Silver Flames. I’ve heard that Nesta grows on people and the Valkyries are heartfelt and wonderfully written (and I absolutely adore House) but the main quest didn’t catch my attention at all and I lost interest halfway through 🙆🏻‍
