When will our VA Healthcare System teeth as being a vital part of the human body?
Thousands of veterans are committing suicide every year for two main reasons, lack of pension pay and the lack of full dental care benefits.
Our military veterans is the only population in America that doesnโt have full dental care benefits but yet, our VA will pay for sex change operations to make a veteran feel better but not for veterans who need to live betterโฆ๐ข

I call BS on this information. Prior to transferring my health care full time to the VA, my civilian health care providers were doing stool samples and colonoscopies. I had polyps removed and was put on a five year cycle for a colonoscopy. When I started with the VA, I was 67 years old. I was told that after age 65, they don't check for colon cancer, regardless of what my civilian providers had done or found. Now I'm 77 and I am told that at age 75, I might as well sit in a corner and wait to die because I'm too old to check for colon cancer or check the cysts on my kidneys my civilian providers were monitoring, etc. As a Vietnam veteran, I got to experience the "Delay, Delay, Delay until they die" mindset of the VA towards Vietnam Veterans. Now it's "Delay, Delay, Delay and let them die."

This video makes it sound so easy. It's not, and this is fairly garbage. First of all, the fit kit simply test for blood in your stool and nothing else. That is NOT preventative care at all, that's how you find cancer, or some other severe damage. Preventative care would be to get a colonoscopy early on and check for polyps and other oddities. I asked for this from my VA PCP and got stuck with the fit kit - even though I had symptoms that would be indicative of polyps. They were and have been extremely resistant to sending me for a simple colonoscopy regardless of the pressure I apply. Those 4000 cases a year could be 3000 cases a year if they'd actually fuckin send you in for these screenings.
