There are so many variables... beard prep, soap, blade and razor combo, technique. Each person's experience will be different. As it is said very often in the wet shaving world... YMMV.

Any blade can give you a shave, but you want that blade to be comfortable and not harsh.

As someone whoâs beard is fairly tough and coarse, you definitely donât need the sharpest blade

Random question. For a Gem razor can I use any decent Gem style blade or are they specific to face shaving? Ex. Can I use the single edge blades from Home Depot?

I love the Wilkinson sword. Their triple coating just makes shaving so smooth and effortless. I get 2 shaves out of each half using the leaf twig.
