I first heard of the dropping of body temp for sleeping in one of your earlier videos. So every time I do wake in middle of the night, I uncover until I can feel my temperature drop. This sleep series is such a great one, thank you

He's absolutely right. I cannot sleep when I am too hot. It will wake me up.

I agree. I've always enjoyed a colder environment to fall asleep.

I recently started with a high protein diet, my weight is 132 pounds and I am eating 100 grs of protein each day to preserve muscle, at the beginning I stop sleeping, I was unable to fall asleep, after looking for the cause I found some studies suggesting that a lot of protein might activate your body due to the energy required to break down protein, also I found that I was eating less than 50 grs of carbs each day and I remembered Huberman talking about eating starchy carbs in the dinner to increase serotonin and with that melatonin, so I did 2 changes, one I am eating my last meal around 5 pm and second in that meal I am eating more carbs, sleeping resolved, but then I noticed that if I eat the last meal around 7 pm with around 50 grs of protein, to go to sleep at 9 pm I feel my body temperature raising (I need to remove the covers) complicating to be in deep sleep. That happened last night and I am linking protein consumption (amount and timing) with sleep issues.

So true. My window is always open when I go to bed. That, plus the fan on during the summer. I can never get good sleep when it’s too hot.

Been sleeping in my birthday suit since I was 17 and focusing on being cooler. I’m 31 now. Noticed the difference then and will definitely never go back. Temperature for sure makes all the difference.

Maimonides teaches fall asleep on your left to help with digestion, change to your right in the middle of the night to help with blood flow and sleep cold.

The Vastu principles. The best Direction to sleep are East and South directions , so that the head is pointing towards East or South , while the legs point to West or North. It is also the scientific way to sleep. If it isn't possible to sleep East or South , you can choose alternative directions NE and West....

it's true: eric berg talked about it too. It' why hot showers make us sleepy: our core body temp lowers to cool our skin down, and that core body temp lowering occur naturally happens when we fall asleep.

Not new for those of us who grew up without air conditioning. No one ever slept during summer. Now my thermostat goes below 68 in winter, 71 for 8 hrs a night in summer.

He looks SO good with long hair. How well he is preserved from good sleep. He seems to only be getting younger. This man is truly like an intellectual Prince.
