My Mum had a Cardiac arrest/Heart attack in 2011. Month later did her Angiography where all 3 veins had 70-90% blockages. Pumping was v slow (lvef). Surgeon was debating whether a surgery is even possible or not. She had lot of scarring due to diabetes. They finally went ahead and took the risk of operating. Post surgery when I asked him about prognosis he said "who knows she may live for 8 months or 8 years. Pumping us weak". I was sad and little angry too. Its 2024, My Mum is doing good. Surgeons did a superb job, so much that Mom still has all the energy to fight with my Dad. Only because of peripheral neuropathy she has reduced mobility. But Lvef came back up. I shared this so it helps somwhere

Edit: my mom had this feeling that she should walk to the nearby hospital and ask the Doctor in the ER to give her some medicine for Cold and cough so she gets some relief. She had the heart attack IN the ER. We were so lucky. I started believing in God with this incident. God sent her there

Don't worry about it. Exercise after your surgery or heart attack. It'll be fine.

A cousin of mine suffered three heart attacks, was diagnosed with broken heart syndrome and now needs a heart valve replaced. She also doesn’t take care of herself like she should. I pray for her every day.

My Dad had a heart attack at 64...a year later he had open heart surgery which the doctor recommended he undergo...I was only 15..I didn't want my Dad to have surgery...maybe I had a bad feeling....He never recovered from surgery. I had to see him basically being kept alive by machines....that was very tough.

I had a heart attack this past Feb. I was 33 and I waited unfortunately over 16 hours to go to the ER to see what was going on, BIG mistake

Tons of herbs can help strengthen the entire cardio system if you start before issues begin like Hawthorn, Bilberry, Garlic, Oregano, Olive Leaf, Tumeric,CoQ10 among a ton more.

Good foods, no smoking/vaping, no alcohol and simple daily walking(brisk 45 mins)can go a long way to keeping your body much healthier.

Be well

Won't argue with doc, but read article several decades ago of a women with a male transplanted heart that did indeed involve new heart cells forming.
