As a true fan of Armored core sagas since kid... I don't think so. One thing I've understand all these years is that most ppl doesn't even care about mecha games, unless they are androids with amazing stories (Nier Automata, Megaman sagas, etc).
Even Zone of the enders: Second runner from PS2, a mecha game with so good graphics that u could perfectly confuse it with a good PS3 game and wasn't enough popular. Xenogears from PS1 wasn't enough popular too... Well the game was very criticized bc u had to kill God but, for me it had an incredible story.
All I'm really expecting as a Mecha lover is that game turns enough known to bring a huge amount of players, so FromSoftware will create more secuels or similar titles like this, DLC's, and make mecha games more popular.
For ppl who didn't know, there's a FromSoftware "Armored Souls" game launched on 1999 called Frame Gride, it's situated in a medieval world with magic and stuff like that but the difference, is that u use, and fight with mechas.

Armored core 6 may not win goty, but it's the goty for many gamers. AC 6 is the best game I played this year. Feed the fire. Let the last cinders burn.

I like Armor Core 6 but it has a specific fan base. It will definitely turn off players who don’t like a challenge.
I see Baldurs Gate 3 or Zelda taking the #1 spot due to the large fanbase each has.
