인천에서 태어난 독립 운동가 겸 정치가로, 간첩 혐의로 구속되어 징역 5년 이후 사형까지 집행되었죠. 그런데 이후 2007년 과거사정리위원회에서 ('당시 야당 정치인을 제거하려는 표적수사가 사형집행으로 이어진 정치탄압이자 인권유린') 그것이 조작된 사법 살인이었음을 밝히고, 2011년 무죄로 판결했습니다. 격변기에 형장의 이슬로 사라진 죽산 조봉암 선생의 65주기 추모식이 31일 오늘, 망우역사문화공원 죽산 조봉암 묘역에서 진행되었습니다. 많이 알려지지 않은 독립운동가나 대한민국 위인이 누가 더 있을까요? 댓글로 알려주세요!
