i dont think people are saying an executive officer for a large corporation should not be compensated well. where we are having a disconnect in reason is, if said large corporation is being successful, then a share of the revenue should go to the workers that make the company succeed by way of bonuses and raises. right now we dont have that, what we have is a system where corporations are permitted to pay its workers wages that are below the poverty level while dumping them off on the social safety net so they can get food stamps and other aid to make up the difference, as they report billions in revenue.

Itās kind of infuriating sometimes how utterly inept socialists are. They really are the flat earthers of economics. Itās like imagine taking money out of this. Imagine there are two people building a house. One guy is super lazy and just puts up 4 walls and a roof over a couple days. The other guy spends decades building a castle. Then when the guy finally starts enjoying his castle this moron would bitch about how unfair it is that he gets to have a castle. Billionaires get paid so much because they created the entityās that provide us with all the nice creature comforts we have today and their employees should be grateful to them for being provided an opportunity to monetize their otherwise useless skills.

The real question would be what's stoping the person earning $30 000 to be a billionaire like Jeff?? The real answer to that is equality.. "socialism". You are trying to bring down Jeff to the same level as this person, rather than lifting this person to Jeff's level..
Just let the market regulate itself. If you go out of business, that is the market telling you that you need to stop.

He's not wrong though, I'm all for capitalism but disparity in wealth and how it's managed by those on top is ruthless and leaves very little for everyone else. Jeff bezo's employees are earning slave wages even if all the employees gathered their earnings the amount combined wouldn't even come close to Jeff's wealth, the people are more important to the business than Jeff collectively

Life isn't fair if you haven't noticed. There are kids who get cancer at 11 years old and die. There are people who get into car accidents that are paralyzed for life. There will always be poor people and rich people and the more you try and make the world look like the perfect world in your head then the more you are gonna mess it up.
