THERE IS NO PART 3! I got lazy. Here are the instructions to finish the modding process:
1. Put the orignal ps2 game in your ps2 now.
2. Play the game until you make it to the 2nd level which is the DRIVING level, then save your game.
3. Return to the main menu, swap trick your original for your backup and when you select the 2nd level, it'll boot to ulaunchelf
You should now see the uLE main screen and from there you can install FMCB off your USB stick.
-- Ensure the USB stick is connected. Press O button for the FileBrowser in the uLaunchElf screen, move down to mass:/ and hit O, then move down to select FREE_MCBOOT.ELF and hit O to run it.

Just saying thanks. Used this method and it worked great. I ran into a snag with my USB drive... To other users, it needs to be formatted in FAT 32bit in order for the PS2 to read it. Works fabulously! I'm running my FFXII Int just like I wanted. :) P.S. Buy some sticky tack; duct tape doesn't work.

I'm doing something wrong here. I modded the ISO exactly how you did but after swapping the disc it still loads the mission.

hello i did as the video instructed i opened Apache and i load the iso then i highlighted the Driving.elf file then i changed the file size in Apache no issues to this point then i highlighted the DRIVING.ELF file then i went to update the file and it gets to the end and it gives me a error it says i did not select the file to update i have tired this 8 times and it gives me the same error do you have any suggestions

it would been mutch easier if u uploaded the modified iso to somewhere, and we can just download it and just get the original disk somewhere :p but nice video

Sorry for never getting around to uploading the third video. All you need to do is put your USB file into your ps2. Then play through Agent Under Fire until you finish the first mission. When it asks you to start the second mission swap to you burnt copy of agent under fire and then hit the X button to enter the mission. It will then load FreeMCboot.

So... After softmodding, swaping the 007 disk, booting free mcboot, etc, how are the ps2 games loaded? Does it load the game from the usb stick, or should put the game onto a dvd?

Great tutorial. You should post a part three... It should show copying the FreeMcBoot noobie package to the USB stick. It should talk about making sure the USB stick is formatted in FAT32. It should show the swap process. It should mention the difference between normal and multi install.
Comon... Please... :) Not that I need it but I'm sure it will help others.

how do i get that apache software. when i click on the link if gives me a file that opens in notepad with a bunch of weird stuff on it.

at first i got that same problem, but just run it under administrator,it should for fine after you do that, hope i helped!

Once FMCB is installed, can you simply just put in a burned disc to play or do you still have to swap from then on?
