I now have a headcanon! And because I have one you all must suffer with me!! If Izuku's original style never changed, he'd still have his regular personality. Unfortunately, he gets mistaken as a villain sometimes, which becomes a running gag. However, he covers his eye with his hair cause Bakugo fucked it up with his quirk but Izuku never told anybody, not even Bakugo knows. And there is no wound around the eye area and nor has the eye changed color, it looks the same as his good eye. He's just blind in that eye.
