To hell with #shorts. Always a disappointment when I see how short the video is. This is not the content I subscribed for. Didn't watch and thumbs down.

This is really cool! I wouldn't mind watching a longer video about this gearbox

Great work! I almost killed myself the only time I tried to cast aluminum in plaster. (I didn't dry the mold before the pour, and it shot out like a cannon past my head)

What settings do you use when printing PLA for the castings? Do you make the parts hollow to help burnout, or will they get crushed or deformed during the investment drying? I'd really like to know the printer settings for Lost PLA CASTING as well. e.g. wall thickness, infill etc. Thanks VOG.

What did you use to group all of the peices together before placing the tube for the mould around the part?? Looks like some kind of wax or something but I've never seen/heard of it...

do you have any good tips to get rid of the ashes from the mold after burnout ?

Wow! *This is so impressive, Geoff - if the planetarios had bearings, it would be a serviceable gearbox.
I can't believe that miserable winger unsubscribed because he doesn't like the "shorts" format. He cut off his nose to spite his face, poor soul.

Your video's are very helpful thank you for that, i was wondering how you can get the quality of a cast using your vaccuum casting machine for things that are too large to fit in the flask?

Where is long video

I see you went with 6 planetary gear posts. This will of course work as long as the planetary gears are small enough that they don't try to mesh with their neighbor.

For all of Youtube's hype about shorts, I don't see mine being promoted. My regular videos get better views.

Ever try using toothpaste to smooth out gears?

It would be nice to see some useful castings instead of toys.
