Thích Nhất Hạnh’s analogy of falling leaves is the inspiration for this painting. I hope this painting helps me and others how connected we are in this world. Individuals nurture one another. Another person’s success is our joy. Our own success can also generate other’s joy too. I hope, like the autumn leaves, to fall joyfully together. The aesthetic of the painting was inspired by my travel with my mom last year to Canada where we met up with friends and saw incredible autumn forest scenes.

JoyFall is a piece of painting I submitted for auction which 100% will be donated to the organization(s) that helps with the recovery of families from wildfire and/or the ocean habitat. Thanks to Shirley, the host of this annual charity program participated by artists.
