This isn’t your granddad’s Datsun 👀

Listen to this insane-sounding 240Z scream down the street — pure JDM muscle and retro soul. Whether it’s a big cam, ITBs, or a turbo beast hiding under the hood… this Z has zero chill.

Here is my story, I had one too, 1972 240Z,

First modified stage, 1970 240Z high compression head with 280Z block with triple Webber then it was not fast enough. So I pulled everything out and went to the second modify stage.

Second modified stage, Scarab kit, 350 chevy motor bored pistons with 400 transmission, dual racing cams, Electronic ignition, 4 barrels carb, 3 pieces Gotti wheels with low profile 315x35x18, widebody fender flares and whale tail, looked just like the car in this video with tail and gold rims. I did all this back in 1988, I had so much fun. I eat corvettes and mustangs for breakfast. Then I had to sell it or I would die in the car. Then a corvette guy bought it just to use the motor and trans, he threw away the car. Only if I had known back then to keep the car. I was only 20 yrs old back then. I missed it, so whoever still have it enjoy❤

We did heaps of these back in the 80s down in Melbourne, usually we'd drop a Holden 308 in them, bloody fun to drive.

I had a 66 Dotson roadster, swapped out the engine, with a racing 510 engine in it with dual side draft Webbers it really kicked ass

Why does it show a pic of a Ford engine?

I am definitely a fan of V8's especially performance built V8's but the 240Z the one that started the Z program just doesn't sound right with a V8. I was never a fan of the later 250Z's but the classics are beautiful cars

Who cares we know it had a straight six doesn't mean it needed to have a Ford straight six from Australia and V8s are awesome
