Note: These tweeters are running a tad hotter than the original ones, but so far I'm pretty impressed with their sound without doing any crossover tuning. I'll start with the crossover tuning next year once my new mic and equipment comes in.
The tweeter I'm using is the Peerless DX25BG60-04.

Great upgrade - I installed Scan Speak because these speakers are currently known as Scan Speak (created in cooperation between Vifa and Scan Speak) - much greater detail, but the sound is not sharp, but even velvety. Much greater detail than the factory Heco tweeter - each string is now de-detailed. I also compared it with the Seasa speaker, but the Scan Speak brings much more details and flavors - I have the impression that it is less obtrusive then seas

If you buy speakers and then have to butcher them and Jerry Rig them with new parts then you probably bought the wrong speakers to begin with

You might need to adjust the crossover unless they are the exact same sensitivity and resistance.

I have the HECO Aurora 700s, the high end to me is fine. I have seen tests done and they test fine oit to 20khz and they have great dispersion withthe fluctus ring. They are a tad bright but not grating in stock form.
