Hope he could play like John Stockton if not as good as the former Jazz guard.

He can handle 10 minutes surrounded by great players, it will open up shooting space. People are looking too far into one summer league game with a pulled calf and no help.

He needs to find a way to use is handle to get two feet in the paint and create for his team. He’s not going to get there with his speed, so he’ll need creativity and array mid range finishes, Jalen Brunson esq. What would help him is his IQ. For this team with all its play finishers, he’ll need to do his work early. For example, break away passing, Lonzo Ball esq.
If he can do this along with his 3pt shooting, he’ll be very valuable to this team.

I don’t think Reed is going to be all that good at an NBA level. I see decent role player at best. Maybe a catch and shoot kinda guy, but when I watch him shoot it looks like he has to put EVERYTHING into it just to get up a three pointer. That won’t hold up well over the course of an entire game let alone a full season

I had hoped Sheppard would have improved enough to split minutes with Van Vleet. His showing in summer league didn't fill me with confidence. If anything he seemed to have regressed.

Reed could start along side of VanVleet but not in place of him. I will be curious to see who starts at PG when VanVleet misses games. My guess is they would just start DFS and let Amen be the primary ball handler.
