Hi! I'm a homeschool mama to 4 trying to homestead in the suburbs. Things are too expensive, especially when you want to eat healthier. I'm on a journey to learn how to make 98% of our foods, which in the long run saves $$ because I'm not spending it on prepackaged snacks..
We already do 98% of our eating from home but this year I would like to make our own snacks, fermented foods, try to grow some of our foods, continue making bread, learn how to mill grains and make pasta..
We also plan to buy in bulk to help bring our month to month grocery bill down.
You can really do a lot with grains, beans, meats and in season veggies.
I'm excited to bring you along.
