Also just wanted to say, we were not paid to post this video on this platform. We’re just pretty passionate about people getting out to vote and because this is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization, we’re happy to get the word out!

I just saw a news story about a man who opened a cheesesteak place in Tokyo because he loved Philadelphia so much when he went. Warmed my heart that parts of my city and culture left an impression. One day I have to try an "American" restaurant in Japan

It's kind of funny Toys r Us closed in America but there's a s*** ton of them in Canada. Literally just a border away.

That glass bottle Coke machine! I miss those. It just tastes better from a cold glass bottle from a vending machine on a hot day. The local Co-Op used to have one just off the loading dock, and the middle school teacher's lounge had one when I was in 6th through 8th grade.

The Statue of Liberty in Odaiba was first introduced during the "French Year in Japan" celebration in 1998.
As part of the program, the Statue of Liberty from Ile aux Cygnes in Paris was shipped to Tokyo and displayed for a year, while a bronze Buddha statue was sent to France, to celebrate the friendship.

The success of the display led the French government to approve the creation of a permanent replica. The statue you see today was crafted at the prestigious Coubertin Foundry in France and installed in here in 2000.

It’s also interesting that Odaiba he location of the statue, is a large artificial island originally built in the 1850s for defensive in response to America's push for Japan to open its borders.

OMG I miss Japan so much. I was stationed in Yokosuka from 2013-2016. My daughter was born there and I can say, Japanese ladies are so helpful when it comes to getting your little one back in their baby carrier. 😭
