Martha’s family absolutely didn’t deserve that she may not have got on well with them most of the time but they are still her family and she wouldn’t have wished that on them her dad was the best because he didn’t want to lie to Martha about people listening to their conversation I think Martha’s connection to her family is such a good part of the show proving that even though her family is a little dysfunctional they are still a family at the end of the day they didn’t deserve to be captured like that you can tell Martha doesn’t like thinking about it and rightfully so I suppose on the bright side of that whole situation it brought them closer together as a family because they had a shared goal and originally when I was younger I didn’t like Martha’s mother because I thought she was too tough on Martha and rude but now I realise she just didn’t want her daughter to drift away from her and just wanted to keep her safe especially since there was a bit of a drift between Clive and her and it definitely seems like she was closer to Martha since Tish was always busy it is nice that we got to see a lot of Martha’s family because with a decent chunk of the companions we never got to see much of their families I still can’t believe the Jones family had to endure that and I just realised her brother Leo wasn’t in the finale or the show that much which is a little weird i love the scene of Martha’s mum wanting to shoot The Master for what he did to her and her family but then breaks down in tears because she wanted to stay strong but then she just got overwhelmed by all of he emotions
