i LOVED gosling in "lars and the real girl". such an underrated movie, one of my top 5 for sure. there's just something so endearing about it. the premise might put people off, but i promise you - if you watch it with an open mind, it'll surprise you.

Gosling is underrated but he just sticks to what people sees him as and good for him. It’s making him fucking bank and he can get his Oscar gold later on. He’s kind of a lib but seems genuine unlike some of the other shitheads in Hollywood. His performance in Blue Valentine is brilliant and he could’ve easily won the Oscar in my eyes.

Gosling is a great actor. I loved First Man - very good movie with a stellar performance from Ryan and very underrated. I would definitely put him as one of the best actors working today. Also he is very private, his wife doesn’t work in movies anymore but stays home with his daughters who are homeschooled and he moved out of Hollywood so his girls would not grow up around other celebrity kids. I think at heart he leans conservative I bet but you wouldn’t know because he does not talk about anything much less politics. Something to admire in an actor today. Oh, yes Blue Valentine is hard to watch but Gosling is so good in it and many young actors including Paul Mescal, today cite that performance as one they really are in awe of. Don’t think we will see Gosling do dark roles anymore out of deference to his wife and daughters. Think he said he had a tendency to bring it home while filming and he is now thinking of his family first. So good priority in a man I believe.

I think The Gray Man is way underrated, it's a pretty basic plot and story, but that's what I liked about it, it didn't try to do too much.
