In this last episode, I'll walk you through my initial attempt of designing a VHF/UHF communications plan for an EMP event. We'll see if it all fits and what the finished product looks like.

I use the same cases. The case then goes in a galvanized trash can that is lined with cardboard. Plenty of room for more stuff. Great series

Thanks for the content. This is a topic very rarely covered in the ham world. The EMP is one of the main reasons I still go with SLA and NiCa instead of obvious overwhelming superiority of LiFePO4 batteries due to the BMS, which I have yet see anyone cite research that it may be protected or not from an EMP. I have mine solutions with lots of ammo cans since they're cheap, but it's nice to see other solutions.

Great series, I only question the use of scotch tape and clip to close the EMP bags. I would highly recommend the aluminum tape used in HVAC to fully seal the bag after folding the opening. That said, your kit looks great and easy to move & deploy!

I wonder if lead based paint on the interior would help it out.

Easy way to roughly test EMP cases, put a cellphone inside and call it, if it rings it’s not enough!

if batteries go unused they go dead very quickly, how do you plan on managing this? why not date the individual packages so you know how old each one is.
