This was the hordes version of the Winterspring frostsaber. Interestingly if you got this Horde mount and faction changed. You would know have the Winterspring frostsaber

I remember getting this mount back in the day. I had an obsession, and it is still my main mount to this day

as opposed to the rogue quest chain for 'fangs of the father' that probably takes you about 1-3 months (but probably more) to complete, costs you over 10,000g and may make you go insane with the amount of runs you would have to do of this one instance (oh and thats without factoring in if you were the correct level for it! )

Wasn't in Classic but WotLK though really when they did relaunch Classic they should have added it in, with it being the equivalent to an Alliance mount that has been in the game since the beginning.
I remember when I was trying to get this I decided to not get any further with my Shaman until I did get it, and played regularly on a Death Knight, though once I did switched back and still is my main ground mount.

This mount is not from classic. When acheivments were put in the game in wotlk the developers realized alliance has 1 more mount than horde in the winterspring frostsaber, so they added this. And it was very easy to get.
