I am not college-educated, but I have a theory. if our arteries get plaque in them and our brain has hairline arteries, then just a little bit of plaque would block them which could cause misfiring and mental symptoms. so if we water fast and get rid of that plaque in theory, our memory could come back. The reason why I think this is I once water fasted for a week and after day three I could remember phone numbers from 30 years ago. It was like my brain just started firing so much information so fast even colors were brighter. It’s just a thought.

As someone who has PTSD, my short term memory and blanking on words has totally come into play over these past few years (I'm 44). I would be interested in some tips and tricks to help with this, as a way of helping my brain heal from trauma.

Can you talk about insomnia? I have suffered from this since I was young.

The way to get sign ups is to not just advertise the newsletter but to preview some info about memory loss.

Hello doctor, my parental grandmother unfortunately suffers from Alzheimer's disease. And almost two years ago i suffered a mild TBI (for me it is at least a moderate TBI, but whatever) which led to me to have anterograde and retrograde amnesia of the event to this very day, among other things.
Should i be concerned about my memory loss, according to my history and family record?
Cheers and have a good day!

Sign up for the newsletter. It’s a good one. I get it sent to my work email and it’s a delight to read specially since I trust Dr. Hoeflinger
