What can be said about ZZ Top? For me, as an aspiring guitarist who always felt a rock'n'roll player at heart, Billy Gibbons was the glue that held rock and traditional blues together and made both palatable to a 15 year old kid. Billy Gibbons' wit, humor, and impossibly fuzzy guitar tones won me over instantly. ZZ Top were also the gateway to the older blues tradition which, in the beginning of my adventure, might have been too intense to digest.

This fingering is reminding me of Van Halen's "Hot for Teacher." I did a search and found Van Halen covered at some point: “Chevrolet,” “Brown Sugar,” “Beer Drinkers & Hell Raisers,” “La Grange,” “Waitin' for the Bus,” Francine,”
