ROOT CANAL TREATMENT ( RCT ) FOR LARGE PERIAPICAL LESION :
A patient presented with a large periapical lesion associated with the apices of a tooth. Symptoms included pain and swelling. Radiographic examination confirmed the presence of a radiolucent area indicative of infection and bone loss.

Treatment:
Root canal treatment was initiated to eradicate the infection. The canals were thoroughly cleaned, shaped, and disinfected. A biocompatible material was used to fill the canals, sealing them off from further bacterial invasion.

Healing and Bone Formation:
The patient remain pain-free after Root Canal Treatment ( RCT) .Over the course of 6 months, follow-up appointments showed progressive healing. The periapical lesion gradually decreased in size as seen on successive radiographs. The body’s natural healing processes, including bone remodeling and regeneration, led to new bone formation in the area of the lesion.

By the 6-month mark, significant bone density increase was noted, indicating successful healing of the periapical region post-treatment.
