There was also what items he chose for his horcruxes. He picked objects that belonged to the founders of the Hogwarts Houses rather than random objects. Dumbledore was able to deduce that one of Voldemort’s horcruxes was an object from Ravenclaw House after seeing Slytherin’s Locket and Hufflepuff’s Cup in the Hepzibah Smith memory.

I disagree. The only horcrux that was really poorly hidden was the diadem. The diary was intended to be used as a weapon. The ring was hidden in a creepy house that no one really entered after the riddle murders, the locket we all know was brilliantly hidden, the cup was in the most guarded vault in all of gringots (it literally had a dragon) harry was an unwillingly created horcrux which he didn't even know about. And nagini was always next to him except In the battle of hogwarts where he was dueling anyway so he couldn't guard it. Also as for the "just make a stone a horcrux" this was explained in the books by Dumbledore. Voldemort is extremely self-centered and wouldn't put his precious soul into objects that had no importance to him.

I have two things to say 1. If I was Voldemort and made a horcrux it would be outside a random Sainsbury’s in slough and 2. He is polite enough to let Harry finish his school year :)

Making horcruxes didn't make him weaker. But his worst mistake was to insist to be the one to kill Harry Potter. If he would have just let a different Death Eater kill him, Harry would have died.

He didn’t know the prophecy so anyone saying he did is wrong, he knew the first part only.

Voldemort had delusions of grandeur mixed with a strong lack of empathy. He was psychotic, but by no means dumb. The only reason they found any horcruxes in the first place was Lucius Malfoy putting one of them in Ginny’s cauldron. The chain of events afterwards led Dumbledore to discover the magic behind the diary, and the investigation ensued.
Also, the fact that Voldemort “disappeared for years then keeps ‘coming back’” proved his soul was still earthbound when his body was not. Dumbledore has all the proof he needed, and gave it all to Harry.
Voldemort did everything by himself and shared his plans with no one. Alot of people helped Harry find and destroy the horcruxes, nobody really helped Voldemort make or hide them with the exception of kreacher. Voldemort was a self destructive genius who was responsible for his own downfall but unfortunately made alot of other people die along the way. Still, Voldemort did things no other wizard will ever come close to achieving.

For protecting his horcruxes the locket actually had great protection it was just Voldemort didn’t consider younger wizards/witches and small creatures could make the journey in the boat was where he went wrong.
As for the other horcruxes though he definitely should have put in better countermeasures and picked better places or followers. For instance, the ring and diadem only were concealed and he gave the diary to Lucius to hold on to.
