Pinching in the shoulder? It's wise to avoid any sharp pinches that you feel in the body, however, this doesn't mean that you necessarily have to stop moving the joint altogether.

Sometimes, the best thing to do is continue to move the joint in a pain-free (or mildly uncomfortable) range of motion.

So, if raising your arm overhead really hurts, consider moving the shoulder in other directions. If it feels okay in one of them, then do it!

If the joint (shoulder in this instance) is completely incapable of moving in any direction, the good thing is that you have the rest of your body to move! So, you can continue to exercise, you just might need to let your shoulder rest for a little bit before introducing pain-free movements again.
Even walking moves your shoulder. This is great!

You may have heard of "frozen shoulder." This often occurs over a long period of time and is usually caused by not moving the shoulder through its full range of motion.

Movement is great for healing and preserving your range of motion, as long as it isn't making the pain worse! If it is making it worse, let it rest for a few days, then start doing what you can with the joint that doesn't make it worse.

You will be okay! Be patient.

shoulder impingement, work on shoulder stability exercises depending on the weak links you have.

I missed the part where you gave a solution to shoulder impingement.

“Stick to movements and ranges of motion that don’t hurt the shoulder.”

The moving your mouth while doing the shoulder lift at the end is so real. So is the over doing it in range of motion and speed. I rarely notice just how much I'm over doing it. Your program is helping me slowly learn just how big a difference small and careful basic movements with PROPER form can make.

I had a partially torn shoulder tendon, badly torn rotator cuff and they think I just need PT. I want surgery, just way too poor to be able to afford it.
