In this video I demonstrate some of the interesting effects you can produce with LCD displays and polarizing filters which I salvaged from some broken LCD Displays. Since light is believed to have two polarities, this video demonstrates how one of the two polarities can be blocked, and how the liquid crystal can be manipulated to allow light to pass through it. If you attempt to remove the thin polarizing filter from the glass as I have done, it requires a good single edge razor blade to remove the filter from the glass, and a lot of patience and some heat to soften the bonding glue that holds the display sections together.

In 90s i add scotch tape in my electronic watch for colorising screen and symbols. I do it only in intuition. Thank you for good video.

I used to use a polarizer I removed from a calculator to make "no screen glasses" where you can't see lcd displays from a specific angle. Until I realised that it's the same as polarized sunglasses

When i was kid i put polarising filter upside down on my cell phone, so it looks like i have color LCD. I also used the tape to time up the colors. :D

I have a question dear sir. I'm wondering if you can use any of these LCD panels or anything that you might recommend that I might be able to make some of those Dicyanin Dye glasses like from Vietnam?? I want to figure out how I can make a pair of those glasses? Please.
