Okay now how would you build a router slab jig for logs?
I already have the router and bit and plenty of work tables. They're height adjustable so I was thinking about just making a really wide sled thing with the router in the middle.

One humble suggestion:
It seems to me that using wheels could not be the best way to produce flat cuts, because the small wheels could follow every little irregularity on the surface the bench...
But if you sacrifice a bit of friction, you could substitute the wheels for a pair of polished metal long skids, that would provide a flatter trajectory for the planer, while still be able to slide with easy over the table or bench.
But attaching the guide or support to the planer at that theaded hole in the front of the planer baseplate is a great idea, and has a lot of merit.
It is shame that several close-minded commenters did not appreciate your idea, but they simply lack the insight that you have, and fail to see the inventive that you always display, please keep your great work that we, the loyal followers of your channel, will appreciate and enjoy forever!
