Butt out tool is not necessary. If you know how to use a knife and split the pelvis, then you can get everything cleanly out no problem.

Butt out is awesome, you can so the same thing with a knife, but you have to clean your knife good, or have a different one so you don't risk getting (you know) all over your meat. And idk about your but I'm not carrying all that into the field.
