I doubt it. The US Army would have to switch or Hornoady would need to price 22 ARC equal to 556 Win White Box price point.

No, just because it's a new round doesn't mean the old rounds will go away. I know the new round will not make me get rid of my 22-250.

The Army didn't want anything to do with either of those cartridges

When i can buy 1000 rounds of 22arc in surplus ammo cans that wont cost me my 1st born child then maybe .223 will be replaced. But the economy of scale is so massive with .223/556 and the components are so avaible i dont see that happening any time soon. There are always going to be better performing rounds in any gun... but price and avalibility will always be one of the most important factors. Ive seen this with 6.8 spc, 224 valkrie, 6.5 grendel 22 arc... all were going to replace .223. .223 had had 70 years to proleferate and with its military use the round that replaces it will have to be a huge leap forward in technology. Its going to have to be caseless ammo or a polymer case thats super affordable to knock 556 off and replace it. You guys get paid to review this stuff... you wouldnt get paid if boring old 556 was the subject of every one of your videos. These gun companies need you to push it out there and sell it for them. Unfortunately regular guys like me get screwed when we buy into the hype only to have the new wonder round fail in 4 years. Fool me once.... shame on me. Shame on industry guys for pushing rounds that wont exist in 5 years. Never again will i get tricked into buying a new caliber thats totally gonna replace 556.

The 223? No. That’s in a catagory of its own. But 22-250 vs 22 ARC vs 22 CM is definitely up for debate

Not a chance. How many million rounds B of 223/556 in America. How many rifles? While it is an interesting cartridge Big H can’t push it enough to do that

I doubt it. There's already millions of guns owned by American shooters. Most of us just want ammunition for what we already have.

No. 556 is established and heavily invested in. We probly have a trillion rounds of 556 state side alone

I don't think so... with the millions of 223/556 barrels out there....no way can they make it affordable enough to switch

Ha! I wanted one until i saw a box of 20 for $60. 22 Arc and Needsmore are just the 224 Valkyrie rebranded. Kinda hard to boost a lead balloon.

Another attempt at planned obsolescence by Hornady. Check out what Tim Sundles of Buffalo Bore ammo has to say about Steve Hornady. Hornady is on my Bud Light list.

The 6 arc and the 22 arc are just ppc cartridges rebranded by hornady, amazing cartridges but nothing new

No reason to replace the .223, it does the job just fine. If you need faster bullets .204, 22-250… if you need heavier bullets .243, 6.5 CM. Dumping 1000.00 plus for a rifle and at least 1000.00 for optics, reloading dies ect just doesn’t make sense if you have options unless someone else is paying for it (sponsors).
