They will downplay your experience, even if you have worked at a branch of the same company before and have worked on similar or better products. It's not a gamble if the experience is the same or better. However, they may have a bias based on your previous country and will use it as an excuse to offer a lower salary. You will likely continue to receive the same pay unless you stay with the company for six months to a year and then move to a better-paying opportunity.

I have no Canadian experience in trucks but I was a truck driver for 7 years in Europe, my rates here it's like spit in the face 😢

This is the discrimination and I hate this. Canadians just use the refugees and those who have no choice but to choose between feeding their families or buying the new clothes. But HRs are happy - they managed to hire the hardworking person for just half of the price, and no matter that he/she will die earlier because of lack of the rest and normal living conditions.
