Holiday on a South Caribbean island, on the beach, walking into in the estuary for a swim. It starts to rain. Not wearing a raincoat, my Dutch instinct was to run back to the beach in order to sit it out under the palm trees. Still in the sea water, dammit, I said, looking up and my arms in the air, it's warm water - thank you someone. Back to normal.
Watching extremely English sailors in the tropics, on YouTube, complaining about the rain, I asked them if the water came out of the sky equally cold as in Britain.
That question was a culture shock and a few videos later we cold see them walking in warm rain, in T-shot and shorts.

Well yeah. I dont like umbrellas, but most dutch people wear ponchos on rainy days. Unfortunately they curl up and your legs still get wet. But hey, not made of sugar indeed. And if you have to stay at home because of rain, you'll be home a lot ๐
