Try working with just a few plants at a time, namely the ones you may already have experience with. Do you love chamomile tea? Try growing it! Does the smell of lavender put you at ease? Grow that too! Scared to start from seed? Check out the starts from your local nursery! Get to know one or two plants really well and gradually add more to your repertoire as you become more confident.
Don’t let your wildest dreams discourage you from the first steps. There are so many beautiful ways to work with what you have.

I’m about to marry my partner. We’re both super into homegrown foods and natural medicines ect and so I’ve been teaching myself new skills such as gardening, making herbal medicines, making my own bread and pasta ect so I can be a really good wife and provide a healthy life for my soon to be husband. This past year I’ve been slowly getting a garden set up although we live in a caravan at the moment until we can get a house deposit sorted so I’m not going full on into setting up the garden yet…I’ve got the basics though
