You can do it without a screwdriver too. Just use the vice to remove the collar and grip the cylinder directly

You can do the same thing but grab the ring of the lock with those vice grips or channel locks and heave that thing the opposite way.

Great way of opening an old lock that the key doesn't work anymore, or just quickly open a door in an emergency without busting the frame.
