I wore the same pair of doc 14 eyes from 1989 through 1997 when the sole finally gave up. Recently bought 2 pair and neither lasted more than a year. Split leather and dead soles. Bought a pair of Solovair...worth it.

Quality really went down, the image changed and the price went to a ridiculous level when it no longer makes sense to buy them as the pair you’ll be wearing for years. Either the price or the quality needs to change.
