i hope the feat does more than just the unlock; we have feats now that do the same thing, but across a whole weapon or damage TYPE, along with a few extra bells and whistles.

My DM and I aren’t agreeing on how Nick works. For the rouge Can I have a short sword in the main hand and a dagger in the offhand? Use the short sword as an attack, and then that activates the property nick which then allows the dagger to attack within the same action leaving me my bonus action available to use the dagger, a second time. My Dm says no. I need help please.

Weapon finesse, it's always been a feat, did 5e make it to where it's now mandatory? Because my question is now, what if you're a brute? I've known barbarians who use a rapier instead the typical war hammer. Still strength is their best ability not dex for instance, so does 5e pigeon hole folks into these attributes or am I hearing this wrong?
