Discovery mode triggered discover weekly for me, I ran a few really low cost ads and a couple of friends added my song to their playlist which randomly got a lot of traffic which in turn pushed my discovery mode through the roof, I usually only have a 200 - 500% boost on most of my catalog, some even single digits but with this particular track, jt shot up to 5000% in the first week of the month, it then Triggered discover weekly

It’s crazy the difference in streams from big labels turning on discovery mode for a project vs them initiating it on their own songs. For example we have several songs doing 1K per day on radio but only through a specific label; whereas we’ve seen pretty modest gains via our own songs we’ve submitted to discovery mode. Do you have any insight into that, Andrew? Obviously a complex issue I’m sure

If everyone uses it, Spotify will have got every artist to accept lower royalties. It seems to me theyre enticing people with good short-term results like shorts, but long-term i dont see the benefit when everyone's using it.
