You are the YouTube of this old House. Dave Chappelle said it modern problems requires modern solutions. You're next level and do it all. I watch all your videos because I always learn from you

Great tip, sadly as a homeowner I've never seen caution tape on ANYTHING here in the US in 20 years of trenching over gas, water, sprinkler, drains, etc.

Your channel has the best REAL tips.

Excellent. I don’t have a need for any of this information but I appreciate the “old school” professionalism.

Looking after future generations by making it to last, making it easy to repair and easy to find should be the guiding principle in everything. We get no direct benefit and it actually costs us.

The prerogative of maximizing short run profits collides with the needs of civilisation.

Quick tip, Hydrovac and you can avoid all of those issues. You should only hydrovac around areas with buried electrical and gas lines. Those don’t always show up on a locate prior to digging.

We use tracer wire here so the next guy can locate the line but that’s a good idea to add extra precautions awesome

I run mine 6" from the top... that way if they start digging with a shovel even they'll hit tape before the treated boards I place a foot avove the cable.
