Why would anyone want to buy a fake guitar from China anymore when there are so many better options for less money and less hassle.

I had a Harley Benton HB35 with the same issue, couldn't get it intonated. The good thing about dealing with Thomann though is at least you can return defective guitars. Try doing that with a Chibson seller! :)

My first guitar was a mail-order Chinese Les Paul knockoff. It had a twisted neck, defective tone pot, poorly cut plastic nut, and of course all the wiring and parts were substandard. Before it even arrived I realized my mistake and bought a Gibson, and I learned how to work on electric guitars by gradually replacing all the junk that came on the Chibson. It is a very nice guitar now, although the wood used in the body is not very good. I would have been better off spending my money on a Gibson Les Paul Studio or Epiphone.

You have had more bad experiences with Chibsons. And I don’t get it the Chibsons I got have all been dead on with none of these issues you seem to constantly have with them. I would say order from a different person than you have been previously

Buy an SC-Custom MK II or SC-550 from Harley Benton and be happy. That's what I did.

Just curious total cost of additions plus the guitar. I grabbed a McCartney Jubilee Chofner a few years back just for kicks when the slew of limited editions were coming out (long story there, will post more on that). The copies, while no doubt questionable, are enticing more for the ability to get a very affordable version of an instrument perhaps as a prelude to buying the real deal. For instance, you can get versions of the double neck Rick 4080s to muck around with.
