The difference could have been worse, if I had to guess it's the membership fee, the famous food court, and the buyers working deals with suppliers that kept the price relatively low. I have to admit that's pretty cool to have the same cashier. Shows she's a good worker. I hope she's getting a good salary, too. If we should blame anyone, it's the executives, CEOs, and the investors collective greed.

Costco is great they still kept $10 pizzas $1.50 hot dogs throughout inflation. They did some shrinkflation on their packaged items though.

It's like $32. Pretty significant honestly, >20%. The fed targets 2% a year FYI, so it's normally 20% over 10 years. It's ahead of schedule by two years.
Inflation is actually a tool designed to prevent you from accumulating wealth. It's an incentive to keep work and productivity up. Basically, a modern version of the whip.
Capitalism isn't an ethical system.
