For all those who don't know. Yes you have to let the government/ school system know your choosing to homeschool. They have homework and a certain curriculum the kids still have to follow and complete to make certain they are being taught and can meet certain levels of education. Many times the education received by home schooling is better than what's received in public or even private schools.

Everybody knows if your kids miss much school you can go to jail. If you were home schooling then follow the law and complete the paperwork

Felling a tree onto a residential structure when your child has free access to the same structure can result in the loss of your child. Most construction projects will get shut down entirely.

this may seem very terrible but if your child's work is not documented while doing homeschool, the police/county are allowed to check up on and change that. Now, obviously the officer's face showed that he did not like doing this, but after receiving this report and the documents that he had not being signed(which is required for a period of time at that point), he took care of the situation without hurting anyone physically or killing anyone

You do not have to put your child in public school, but you must provide basic education to your child either public or equivalent i.e home schooling, or private school. Basic education at least allows one to function in society on a minimum basis. Yes it is a crime to deny a child opportunity to know and participate in education. Typically ones' moral compass and education drive decision making.

We just need conservative teachers to all come together and start their own schools, otherwise if you want your children to get a proper, MORAL, education pull them all out and homeschool them.
