There is basically no evidence of this. One Christian missionary claimed to have seen body’s hung upside down among the animal sacrificed at a particular holy site. Who they where, how they got there, etc all unknown to him. That said, there was likely some degree of human sacrifice in early Nordic culture. It’s not uncommon in primitive societies. However anyone claiming to know the exact details with Nordic culture has all of three primary sources to draw on. Two missionaries who every reason to hype up the pagan ill deeds and a Islamic ambassador who needed to bring back salacious stories to entertain the court. While it’s unlike they outright made things up, the details are very likely exaggerated.
